Green Planet Nutrients – 3 Part Nutrient System Review
Have you heard of Green Planet Nutrients? Dont feel bad if you haven’t as they are a fairly new company located in B.C. Chances are you may have heard of Terpinator which is one of their products or Massive a bud booster containing triacontanol.
Green Planet Nutrients – 3 Part Nutrient System Review
Green Planet makes 1 part, called Medi One which was just OMRI certified organic. They also make a traditional 2 part called Hydro Fuel and 3 part nutrients called GP3. All are designed specifically for growing cannabis. You can find them on Amazon at: https://amzn.to/2UBfcUE This is an affiliate link so if you buy something I may earn a commission.
I will be giving you an honest review of Green Planet nutes GP3. You can follow my progress on Instagram at https://www.instagram.com/howtogrowweed420/ and also on this website as I post my grow journals. I have been using New Millenium for a while and was pretty happy with it. I always like to try new things so when I was offered a sponsorship I decided to take it.
Could not find a whole lot about Green Planet online but after digging I found a lot of commercial growers in Canada are using their nutes. Their grows looked very good so I am pretty sure I will like it but it will have to prove itself.
Green Planet Nutrients Company Overview
A few quick videos to familiarize you with Green Planet Nutrients and their new 3 part nutrient line.
I will be using their 3 part nutrients and additives too. I have always run 2 part nutrients so this will be new and a bit different for me. It is supposed to give better control of your nutrient profile so you can better tailor it to fit your grow phase.
3 Part Nutrient System Review
So I just mixed my first batch of Green Planet nutes which is 8 different bottles in a gallon of water against their feed chart and it was pretty much spot on. The nutes are clean and mix easily and the micro is the only one with a lot of color. The rest is mostly clear but the micro is reddish brown very much like General Hydro micro in their 3 part.
I am going to test it in my #2 closet which is mostly Tropicanna Cookies and a strain I am familiar with. It was started with New Millenium nutrients and is 4 weeks along. My other closet will be finished in about 2-3 weeks so it will be a fresh grow using only the Green Planet line.
The plants in there were leaf stripped heavily on day 21 and they have been sulking a bit. I am hoping I see increased regrowth with the nute change. Don’t get me wrong, I like New Millenium, but they did not offer me a sponsorship and Green Planet did. If it doesn’t work out I would have no problem using them again.
I’m using their drain to waste feed chart which peaks at 900-950 the last few weeks. The recirculating chart is just too high for my setup. Please dont ask me how i know 1200 ppm is too much for my girls LOL.
I will probably run around 800 ppm peak and my final nute mix was 790 with a pH of 5.8. This should be perfect for my plants. I will be going over all their products shortly once I am a bit more familiar with them.
GP3 Testing Testing 1 2 3 Day 35 Death Bubba
I have only been running this for 3 days right now but it seems to be making a difference. Plants were just sitting after a leaf strip. So I did a res change. Within 2 days the plants started taking off. The buds started bulking and stacking and it appears trichome production picked up.
You can check out and follow this grow at http://420dotcom.com/death-bubba-cannabis-strain.html It is a mixed grow that is mostly Tropicanna Cookies and a strain I am very familiar with so I dont feel like my eyes are playing tricks on me. I really feel like a switch was turned on here.
First Harvest With Green Planet Nutrients
I just finished my first harvest with Green Planet Nutrients. Plants were chopped down on day 60 and I have been very pleased with the results!
Over the years I have used a lot of different nutrient lines and I wont list them all, but I have to say so far GP3 has been the best. I am seeing heavier trichome and resin production and better bud size too.
Pictures dont lie so here is some Tropicanna Cookies, Death Bubba and GG4. You can view the full grow journal on my other site at: http://420dotcom.com/death-bubba-cannabis-strain.html
